It is a program to exchange a certain number of students every semester or every year between KGU and overseas institutions. To be an exchange student, the mutual agreements between KGU and overseas insitution are required. Also, only those who are officially nominated by their home universities can be invited to KGU as exchange students. Exchange students do not pay the tuition fee to KGU but to their home universities.

1 Online application for Kyonggi University’s incoming program After Kyonggi University finally confirms the selection, the link to the application link is sent to the selected students via email. Please attach all documents listed from #2 to #10 to the online application form.

Participants in the exchange student, visiting student, and dual degree programs will be registered in a group under the instruction of Kyonggi University. In the spring semester, the registration will take place from mid-March to the end of March, and for the fall semester, from mid-September to the end of September. Application documents and further details will be provided later by the Office of International Affairs.

Exchange and visiting students who wish to extend their period of study must first obtain approval from their original school outside Korea. After that, they need to submit the necessary documents and obtain approval from Kyonggi University to extend their period of study. Students must submit required documents for extension by mid-January and mid-July every year.

₩1,600,000 dormitory fee per semester + ₩100,000 deposit = ₩1,700,000

The ₩100,000 deposit will be returned to the student after he or she moves out of the dormitory if the room is found to have no problem.

Homestays involve staying with a local family, where both a room and meals are provided in exchange for a monthly fee. This type of accommodation offers a great opportunity to experience Korean family culture. Many homestays are available near schools, and it is advisable to visit in person to assess the

living conditions and costs before making a decision.

A housing type where tenants provide a certain amount as a deposit upfront and pay a fixed monthly rent (rental fee). The deposit is refunded once the lease period

As required by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea, all international students are automatically enrolled in the National Health Insurance.

International students are automatically enrolled in the National Health Insurance without any additional application process. A health insurance card and an

enrollment guide will be sent to your registered residence in Korea.

Medical costs vary depending on your insurance coverage. In some cases, insurance purchased abroad may not be accepted at certain hospitals, and you may need to pay the medical costs upfront and later request reimbursement. It is important to carefully select a hospital.

Additionally, dormitories are equipped with various facilities such as libraries, computer labs, gyms, and dining halls, offering a range of conveniences for students. However, dormitories are shared living spaces, so privacy is limited, and strict living rules are enforced. Rooms are typically categorized into single, double, or quadruple occupancy. The conditions for admission and living costs vary by university, so it is recommended to inquire with your

school’s dormitory office.

Proof of financial stability (minimum monthly living expenses: 900,000 KRW x 6 months = approx. 5,400,000 KRW). Note: Those changing from study (D-2) to job-seeking (D-10) status for the first time are exempt from submitting proof of financial stability.
